Welcome, I’m Tristian!

After dealing with chronic pain and ultimately having surgery, I found myself not able to enjoy any of the things I did before the pain set in. Not because I couldn’t but because there was a mental shift. I decided to try paper crafts and journaling to help with the onset of depression and found a new love in the process.

My Favorite Things
01. Family Time
Hanging out with my goofball family is my absolute favorite thing to do. They choose not to be on the internet so here is a photo of my kitties fighting over their favorite chair instead.
02. Creating
I have always been a creative person. I remember using my grandma’s old Polaroid camera when I was little and that eventually turned into an obsession with photography. Over the years I have dabbled in resin, paper crafting, jewelry making, woodworking, and recipe creation.
03. Gardening
I have found a deep love in gardening. I don’t have a vast garden but my little space makes me happy. I am a pro at growing jalepenos.
04. Disney
I adore the theme parks but do not currently have a pass since my recovery from surgery is a whole year. Summer 2027 you will find me in the theme parks again.
03. Travel
Exploring new places has always been a hobby but in 2023 I was able to visit Japan and now I have severe wanderlust! To quench this, my husband and I frequently do smaller trips within Florida and surrounding states.
05. Bread
Am i technically allergic to gluten? Yes. Does that stop me? Absolutely not.

Most asked question:
Why Rainy Day Papier?
My favorite days are the ones where the thunder drowns out the world and the rain makes the world blurred around the edges. It felt fitting when I was trying to determine what to call this adventure. A lot of people associate rain with sadness or depression and, despite my love for the rain, that is where I am struggling right now.
After the rain the world feels refreshed, new, and sometimes we even get a glimmer of color in the grey skies. I hope that the handmade items I create can bring color and joy to someone else’s grey skies.
